Round up the Usual Suspects! “The Second Annual Claude Rains Blogathon” is here!

Gather ’round, everyone! “The Claude Rains Blogathon” is here at last! Do not be alarmed. This is merely “the customary round-up of refugees, liberals, and, of course, a beautiful young girl for Monsieur Renault, the prefect of police.” Over the next three days we will be celebrating this great star of the cinema as the 10th brings his 130th birthday! Happy birthday, Mr. Rains! May your wonderful films continue to inspire and entertain for many more years.

Before we continue to the roster, we would like to thank all the kind people who have signed up to celebrate this momentous occasion. To read the rules or get one of our banners, see the original announcement here!

    • Dear Megan,

I just wanted to remind you that you agreed to write the “What the Code Means to Me” article for November. I look forward to receiving your contribution to this monthly series. I’m sure you’ll have something very insightful to say about the Code and it’s effects on Hollywood.

Also, after you send you article, you may suggest two possible topics for my next “Breening Thursday” article.

I look forward to hearing from you!

      Yours Hopefully,

      Tiffany Brannan
